It’s hard to believe, but we made the decision to put our “home on the bay” on the market, so I thought I’d take you on a nostalgic tour. These photos were taken by Anne Gridley and Gary Graves of Gridley and Graves several years ago.
I had so much fun decorating and doing DIY projects around this home.
These paint by numbers by the stairs are still one of my favorite collections.
I did end up taking the plate wall down and hanging a plain mirror in its place. Plate walls are not everyone’s cup of tea.
I thought about painting the green cabinet white, but in the end left it green.
The you are my sunshine sign is still hanging over the kitchen window and it is definitely one of the most asked about projects on the blog. It even made it onto the Country Living Magazine website.
Here is a link to the MLS listing in case you are looking for a waterfront property.
We sure will miss this home.

It’s been a pleasure viewing your posts. For me it has been a gift to bring ideas into my home that made me happy. Decorating Ideas from my childhood …. not from an over styled home in a posh magazine. Simple, comfortable

Thank you Jan. That is the sweetest compliment and it made my day.
