Here is an updated tour of the warmed up guest bedroom.
It started out looking like this … dark wood and a shelf over the bed … and no headboard. It was pretty dreary
The shelf was taken down and the wall was painted with Benjamin Moore White Dove and a headboard was made and it was all shared here.
It was starting to look a lot better, but I love the touches of color that were recently added including the DIY wool blanket.
A framed print was added to the wall above the nightstand. The image was downloaded from the New York Public Library Digital Gallery. It’s a great resource for images for personal use. The curtains are from the living room. (I changed the living room curtains up a little too. I’ll share that soon.)
The bureau update really made a big difference too. I got the canvas flower painting at a yard sale for $2 this summer.
This room makes me smile when I look into it.

It is cozy and completely charming. Interesting how the woolen blanket and the pillows warm up a room. You’ve done a beautiful job.
So pretty! Love the plaid blanket at the foot of the bed and all those pretty pillows too!

Hi Mary, Your warm touches are wonderful. Love the plaid blanket and the great deal you got on the painting! This would be a very nice room to sleep in! Linda
How lovely! The plaids are so pretty for Fall. The paint is drying on a sign I am working on for our guest bedroom, an INN sign too. Love yours.
