We don’t have a fireplace in our house, so I used my dining room buffet to do a little fall decorating.
I filled a antique tool box with pumpkins, pheasant feathers and starfish. I added a few faux bittersweet vines and the centerpiece is a plate from Anthropologie. It was made in collaboration with English artist Lou Rota. She is a graphic artist who designs tableware along with one of a kind upcycled vintage dishes. Her work is amazing.
I added a swan squash and an orange orchid to the mix.
Mums were placed in the copper tub and green apples were added to a bowl.
My motto is to keep it simple. I’m ready for fall.

I love your plate wall! It adds a nice pop of color to the wall, and with the addition of your toolbox filled with autumn goodies you’re ready for the colder weather fast approaching. Brrrr…..
Mary – that plate wall is amazing! I think we should get your plate wall and my plate wall together for a play date!! And our matching wooden toolboxes too!
Gorgeous fall displays! And I’m pinning that wall

Wow what a great plate wall. Also love the swan squash with your vignette box.
Mary, your fall goodies are pretty but that plate wall is stunning!! I love the combination of colors and plates that you have up there. Are some of them from Anthro like the swan plate?
Gorgeous! And the plate wall is amazing!

I love the way you used the swan gourd(that’s what we call it in the South! Ha!). I used one in the fall on my front porch and enjoyed it so much. I actually spray-painted it gold and used it on my hearth at Christmas.
