If you make the Dark Chocolate Bark for your Valentine, I know just how you can package it, so they feel extra loved.
You will need a 1/2 lb. candy box, decorative paper, 20″ of ribbon, a pipe cleaner, a piece of card stock and a glue gun
I downloaded a vintage clip-art Valentine from the Graphic’s Fairy. I put the word Valentine in the Graphics Fairy site search and lots of great images came up. I sized the image to fit the top of the candy box. That took a little bit of trial and error. When I got the size right I printed the images on a piece of card stock.
First, cut the 20″ ribbon in half and glue one end to the back top of the box and the other ribbon end to the front top of the box (see photo above for placement). Next, cut out the image and then cut out a piece of decorative paper a little larger. Hot glue the Image to the decorative paper. Bend the pipe cleaner to fit around the image and hot glue into place. I used a pencil to help glue it in place and keep my fingers from getting burned. Hot glue the whole thing to the top of the box.
Fill your box with Dark Chocolate Bark with Cashews, Pistachios and Cranberries.
Then, watch your Valentine gush tiny red hearts as you give them this special treat.
